An Update! A Book Even!

Hello everyone. Yes a post by someone other than Tim. We still exist!

Thanks again Tim for letting me post stuff here. What have I been doing some might ask? well many things, but the topic of this post is to say sometime ago I decided to write a book. The book remained in a mostly finished state(about 95%) but I just sat on it unsure of what to do.

I felt inclined to talk to the bishop about it. The book is 15 questions/topics of concern. I believe it is a bit different from the usual affair when it comes to these kinds of books. The bishop and I have been slowly getting through this and are currently going to be on chapter 6 next time. I suspect it could easily be next year by the time we finish. So I thought what am I do with this book? Self-publishing on Kindle will probably be the most immediate route. From what I can tell Amazon really helps out self-publishing people these days.

Since I am sure someone will ask, no the bishop has not disciplined me. So no horror stories to report!

So at some point in the future, ideally by next week I have an update on that. For now I will simply leave the 15 chapter titles(excluding the introduction and epilogue)

  1. Testimony of Jesus Christ
  2. God’s Mouthpiece
  3. Two churches only
  4. Miracles and signs that follow
  5. Circumcision and the abuse of the least among you – split into two chapters
  6. Tithing, and Fine clothing, and robbing the poor
  7. Testimony meetings and their failure to testify of Christ
  8. General boredom and failure of teachers
  9. Priesthood problems
  10. Baptism
  11. Sacrament
  12. The Corporation
  13. Sustaining and common consent
  14. Women speaking and in leadership
  15. Are we truly serious against Satan?

These are the 15 primary topics addressed and I link them together. I believe it is these linking of topics, and even talking about certain topics, that sets this book apart from the usual books and blogs that address these things.

In any event, have a blessed day and let’s bring some more life to this blog!
