Revelation
One
of the delightful aspects
of membership in the LDS Church is the concept of
revelation - both personal and institutional. I never
tire of reading the viewpoints of others on this remarkable
subject, even if they contain frustration or doubt.
Personal revelation is the heart of the matter when it comes
to religious experience, at least for me. I feel
strongly that we live far below our privileges when it comes
to personal revelation. I have written more frequently about
this subject than any other.
"Behold, great and
marvelous are the works of the Lord. How unsearchable
are the depths of the mysteries of him; and it is impossible
that man should find out all his ways. And no man
knoweth of his ways save it be revealed unto him;
wherefore, brethren, despise not the revelations of God."
(Jacob 4:8)

it. |
