I received an email from a former reader of my blog who tells me she has become a current reader again and explained the reason why. She said she stopped reading my blog seven years ago when I announced my resignation from the LDS Church. She wrote she had concluded she did not want to be influenced by the writings of an apostate. She felt that whatever had caused me to leave the church must have been a false spirit and she did not want to be influenced by that spirit, even though she enjoyed my writings.
Elaborating further, she wrote, “Reflecting on what made me label you an apostate, I was a product of the indoctrination so prevalent in the LDS Church today to ’follow the brethren.’ As a convert from another nation, for twenty years I held on to this last straw of hope and belief that these men were right and that God would not let them lead me astray, even though I saw false doctrine clearly in some of the things they taught and did, things that were and still are contrary to our own scriptural revelations.”
Searching for Truth About Polygamy
“I have many conversations with my friends about religion. One day, while trying to prepare myself on how to answer my friend’s questions about polygamy, I looked up an author recommended to me by a member of the church. Alongside his name in the search results, there appeared the name of Denver Snuffer. For some reason, his name jumped out at me so strongly that I had to look him up. I was led to your blog again and your interview with Denver Snuffer that you first published way back in 2015.”
She then thanked me for publishing the interview, A Visit with Denver Snuffer, and wrote the following: “I have been given instruction from the Lord to talk to people like the Samaritan woman at the well. I struggled with this for months. My poor English (nonnative to English) combined with poor speaking makes this work very challenging. But your interview with Denver seems to outline what I want to convey to my friends to wake them up.” (I spent days praying about and preparing those questions)
The One Mighty and Strong
She concluded her email with, “I also have a favor to ask that if you are in contact with Denver Snuffer, would you let him know that a sister (soon to be baptized) from Florida thanks him for all his countless and restless work to help us awaken and are praying for him? Do you think Denver is the one fulfilling D&C 85:7, the one mighty and strong? I strongly think he is the one.” I love the way she used the word “restless” I know what she meant, but I can imagine Denver is sometimes restless about this work too.
In my email response to her, I wrote, “In regard to D&C 85:7, I paraphrase Denver, ‘It does no good to claim the title of being the one mighty and strong in advance. Do the work. Then it will be clear to all who that individual really is.’” I told her I would mention her story in an upcoming post, being careful of course to not identify her and assured her I would make sure he receives word of her deep feelings of gratitude for his “restless” work. Her email made me realize there are still good people seeking truth.
Time to Finish the Restoration
In my opinion, it’s a rare thing nowadays when a longtime faithful member of the LDS Church with an honest heart, seeking truth, recognizes and embraces the message the Lord caused Denver to share in the ten-lecture series. That message was delivered over seven years ago. I was one of the many who embraced it. I’ve often wondered how many were actually baptized and made sure their names were sent in to Keith to be recorded. I am fairly certain the number is small – probably less than 10,000.
Much has happened since that lecture series was delivered in ten cities of the Mormon Corridor. As the latest video points out, the covenant was given in 2017 and the scriptures came out in 2019. If you have not taken the time to watch video number seven (about six minutes), I highly recommend you do so. There are some very interesting points made toward the end of the video, not just that Zion would be established in “this generation” but that specific work is currently underway to finish the restoration.
The Craziness of Control
Like you, Carol and I continue to watch the “craziness of control” that is exhibiting itself and being embraced, especially here in America. We live in a state that has not only embraced socialism but is actively doing everything to enforce compliance with edicts in every way possible. Neither Carol nor I will comply with the mandates, which are contrary to the constitution. Freedom is a God-given right and is not granted by the state. But now with OSHA getting involved, even small companies must comply.
We are right at that age where we could retire but would like to keep working for a few more years. I am blessed in that, for now, I can work from home. I changed from a full-time employee to a consultant, but the long reach of government enforcement is everywhere here now. It amazes us to see how freedom is no longer valued by so many, especially those who don’t believe it is a Christian virtue. We so love the words of Moroni, “We seek not for power but to pull it down. We seek not for honor of the world.”
The Mandates are Everything
Yes, I am a little restless about the work. Even though I resigned my membership in the LDS Church, Denver made it clear one could still find fellowship with the good people of our local wards and stakes, which we do. The singing in our weekly sacrament meeting is not very robust any more. It’s hard to do when everyone is wearing a mask. We are still not allowed to have a choir and I imagine the mandate will require that the members of any choir ALL be vaccinated and recently tested. The world is mad.
It seems to me they will keep finding reasons to extend the mask mandate (see our most recent link from Ventura County Recovers). Likewise, they will continue to find more ways to force everyone to get the shot. We will not. We read and study each report as it comes out. We consider all sources. It is so obvious now that the truth about these shots is being distorted, mis-reported, lied about and denied. I have had to quit jobs because of the mandate. They will find more things to deny us for our rebellion.
The Days of Prophesy are Upon us
“… when you see these things come to pass, know that the kingdom of God is near at hand. Truly I say unto you, this generation — the generation when the times of the gentiles are fulfilled — shall not pass away until all are fulfilled.” But what we are seeing now is only the beginning. The signs have not begun in earnestness. In our day, “this generation,” it is prophesied that there will be great upheavals in the earth, the sun, the moon, and the stars. Earthquakes will be experienced like no man can remember.
A desolating scourge shall cover the earth. All those who have not taken the holy spirit for their guide but instead have accepted the mandated solution from Babylon will find themselves defenseless and with no immunity to the sickness. All signs point to this happening within the next two to three years. I’m not trying to be a sensationalist, nor am I trying to tell you what to do or where to flee. That is up to the Lord and his servant. All I am saying is take seriously the message that was delivered by the servant.
